Seeking Sakina – Building Relationships

Hyderabadi Association is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Topic: HACPA’s Seeking Sakina Zoom Meeting
Time: May 22, 2022 06:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Presented by Salma Abugideiri, Licensed Professional Counselor, Author and Founding Board Member of the Peaceful Families Project.

Salma Elkadi Abugideiri is a licensed professional counselor with certification in marriage and family therapy. She has worked extensively with refugees, immigrants, and Muslim & Middle Eastern families for almost 25 years, with experience in agency and private practice settings. She has sought to improve the Muslim community’s access to mental health services.

Salma is a founding board member of the Peaceful Families Project, a national non-profit dedicated to preventing domestic violence in Muslim families. She has co-authored Before You Tie the Knot: A Guide for Couples and What Islam Says About Domestic Violence. She is particularly interested in the ways in which faith and spirituality can be used as resources for prevention and intervention. Ms. Abugideiri currently works in private practice in northern Virginia.

We are also inviting questions from the audience beforehand as the topic of relationships is one that most people have questions about but also feel hesitation to ask publicly. The app we are using for your questions is one that will keep your identity totally anonymous, even to the event organizers. If comfortable, please state your age and gender with your question as this information will help the speaker understand and address your concern the most effectively, InshaAllah.

Please post your questions here –
